The upcoming Tomb Raider movie has added another cast member.

The Wire star Dominic West will play Lara Croft's father in the upcoming film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Alicia Vikander portrays Croft.

Jon Voight played Croft's father, Lord Richard Croft, in the Tomb Raider movies that starred Angelina Jolie. The story for the new movie follows Lara Croft as she goes on her first adventure to complete the research that her father started but didn't finish, leaving him disgraced.

West and Vikander have acted together in a father-daughter relationship before, in the 2014 film Testament of Youth.

The new Tomb Raider movie also features Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy) as the bad guy, while Daniel Wu (Warcraft) portrays a ship captain who works with Croft on her adventure. The untitled Tomb Raider film comes to theaters on March 16, 2018.

Last year, director Roar Uthaug (The Wave) lauded the 2013 reboot game and said his movie will try to do something similar. "I think making Lara Croft feel like a real human being, that's definitely something we want to bring to the big screen as well," he said. "I think we'll want to make people relate to Lara as a character. I'm hoping to bring some of my Norwegian sensibilities to the franchise."

No new Tomb Raider games have been announced. However, a sequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider is expected, given the story that began with the 2013 reboot has been described as a trilogy. According to a leak, the name of the third game is Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
