Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced that its standalone tactical action game expansion, Tom Clancy's Rogue Spear: Black Thorn, has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The expansion to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear features a variety of missions that re-create some of the most dangerous terrorist acts in history. It also includes 14 new weapons, such as the FAMAS assault rifle, as well as six new multiplayer maps and the new lone wolf multiplayer mode. In addition, the expansion will come with a bonus CD documenting the creation of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Ubi Soft's other upcoming tactical action game, complete with interviews, gameplay videos, concept art, and tips from the developers.

We've posted some new screenshots in the gallery above that display some of the characters, weapons, and environments that are featured in the new missions. Tom Clancy's Rogue Spear: Black Thorn was developed by Red Storm Entertainment, the studio that created the previous games in the series, and it will be available in stores November 1 for an approximate retail price of $29.99.
