Titanfall getting K'NEX playsets later this year - check out a video now

Construction toy company to release six new playsets based on Respawn's Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC game later this year.

The first batch of official Titanfall K'NEX playsets will be available to purchase beginning in fall 2014, the United States construction toy company announced today. K'NEX and Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment originally announced a partnership in November.

There will be a total of six Titanfall K'NEX playsets available this fall. You'll be able to buy the 500-piece Ultimate Angel City Campaign Building Set for $45 or smaller Titan and Pilot playsets for $13-$35. A breakdown of the various Titanfall K'NEX playsets on offer is below.

You can also check out a video showing off one of the Titanfall K'NEX playsets at the bottom of this post.

Titanfall, which launched yesterday for Xbox One and PC, is not the first gaming property to make the leap to K'NEX. Other gaming brands with K'NEX playsets include Mario Kart, Angry Birds, Pac-Man, and Super Mario. K'NEX also makes building sets based on bands like The Beatles and KISS.

Pass!

Why not just strike one of those movie deals with McDonalds and put a cheap crap version in every Happy Meal too.

The best part about these sets is that the Titans last longer than 15 seconds.

If you look at their heels, you can see recognizable K'nex parts... still I don't really have fond memories of K'nex. I mean they're alright, I played when them, but it's much harder to make anything detailed or varied when K'nex, compared to Legos of course. Still, at least it's not Mega Blocks.

Also, just type "Lego Titanfall" in Google Images. Enjoy.

Even the figures look generic and boring...

Those prices aren't too bad at all, and K-NEX seems to have come on some way since I last saw a set. I'll probably pick one or two up.

@eternaldragoonx So the basement dwellers can collect them I'm guessing. Or the little kiddies can play with them when the internet is down.

@Tiwill44

I see the Sony Ponies woke up from their naps. No Titanfall to play so they have to leave passive aggressive comments on a gaming website.

@Pewbert

Don't be pissed if someone says the same things that you said if GameSpot hypes up a game that you like.

@Xirtahm Kids??!? What!?!? You do know that 30yrs+ fanboys still buy Star Wars and Star Trek figures, toys, etc... from every brand under the son right? lol!! Come back when you have a clue.

@Xirtahm  Anything about Titanfall is totally safe for kids.  That is, unless it's a comment section about Titanfall that's where all the bad violence and language is.

_Silent_Jay_

@Xirtahm At what point does it say that they're being marketed for kids?  There's Halo Megablox, Kenner had Aliens action figures, and look at all the Neca toys for R-rated movies. Wonderfully fake outrage there, champ.

@XBone4DaWin You know, I think he is not the problem.  I'm sure he could talk about Timespltters Rewind, GT6 that is failing really hard right now, the new exp pack for Diablo 3, and all those gaming news we want.  But it's prolly the Gamespot new line of work, which implies than they talk less about actual games, and more about casual shit, Iphones and commercial unrelated news than before.

@_Silent_Jay_  Calm down. It's not like that person knew there was an actual market, for adult males to play with action figure toys.
