The official Call of Duty website's source code previously revealed this futuristic setting, and teased how these genetic enhancements would affect soldiers and the military.
According to that leak, Black Ops III is set in a "dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare."
Activision and Treyarch will share more details on Black Ops III this coming Sunday, April 26. Check back then for lots more on the game, which is due out this fall for (at least) Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
