This Is What A Witcher MOBA Looks Like In Action

The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red today released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming mobile MOBA, The Witcher Battle Arena, in development at Fuero Games. The trailer shows off the game's characters and move-sets, as well as its environments.

The Witcher Battle Arena was developed from the ground up for mobile devices, and promises to offer "great accessibility" and a "balanced learning curve." That's not to say it won't cater to expert players, however, as it also aims to offer complex tactics and other skill-based options.

Importantly, CD Projekt Red also assures fans that The Witcher Battle Arena was designed "with fairness in mind," adding that there are no pay-to-win elements in the game. Everything you find in The Witcher Battle Arena can be unlocked through gameplay.

The closed beta for The Witcher Battle Arena will begin "soon," CD Projekt Red says. You can sign up today through the game's website. When it does go live, the beta will let players try out eight different heroes on two maps for the game's Conquest mode. Beta participants will also be able to try out the game's RPG elements and help fix netcode issues that pop up.

The Witcher Battle Arena closed beta will be offered on Android, though the full game is coming this year to iOS and Windows Phones and tablets.

As for the next entry in the core series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to launch on February 2014, 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. CD Projekt Red today responded to a report that the game may not run in 1080p on Xbox One and PS4, saying a final resolution has not been determined.
