Universal Pictures has delayed The Fall Guy a couple of months, as the action movie will now come out May 3, 2024. Previously, the film starring Ryan Gosling as a stuntman was slated to premiere March 1.

Variety notes that this new release date for The Fall Guy was previously held by Deadpool 3. Marvel Studios pushed back that sequel to July 26--as well as delaying Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Blade.

Gosling stars in The Fall Guy as Colt Seavers, a character who goes from doing stunts on sets to performing death-defying moves out in the world as he searches for a missing Hollywood star. Emily Blunt portrays director Judy Moreno, who has a romantic past with Colt. They're joined by a cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train), Stephanie Hsu (Everything, Everywhere, All At Once), Winston Duke (Black Panther), and Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso).

The first trailer for The Fall Guy showed Gosling going full stuntman and even grabbing a drink with a dog at one point. Director David Leitch seems to want to balance action with comedy in the movie, something he previously did when helming Bullet Train.

Based on a 1980s TV show, Universal previously showcased the first footage for The Fall Guy at CinemaCon back in April.
