Nba 2k14 was 12 or 13 euro on steam during the sale. Good that they say it is a sale because I would not have known.

Still quite baffling how expensive the PS3 is compared to Xbox 360. I would buy one to play some of the exclusives I was unable to play but it is still too much money for a handful of exclusives.

How is pulse headset for $130 a good deal? I just bought one for $109 from amazon and that's not even lowest it's been on sale for.($99)

GTA 5 would be around 30 bucks on steam during the holiday sale.

I broke down and bought a WiiU (I already bought an Xbox One). Not a bad little system for Mario games - but I don't see much in it's future for much else. Sadly, there wasn't much 2nd screen use other than another a second screen on single player games. This is innovation?

For Digital PC gamers out there, keep an eye on Gamefly.  They rebuilt their digital store and here recently have been having some kickass sales.  The only downside is they only allow something to be purchased once per account/credit card so no gifting.  It's after Christmas now anyway so treat yourself!

You know how Gamesport started getting rid of all the good UK only content like the podcast, articles and other Gamespot UK videos.... do you think you might dig deep into your wallets to at least do a UK christmas deals page as people outside of the USA don't give a sh*t what people can buy a game for at Target or BestBuy.

There are lots of good deals, but I guess my problem is there need to be some games worth buying first. I already had a the few games I actually cared to play and a lot of them are just really old that went on sale many times in the past

My PC game digital purchases over the last week:

The Darkness II: $6

Binary Domain: $3.75

Dark Messiah: $5

Command & Conquer Ultimate Collection: $5 (17 freaking games!)

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition: $5

Alpha Protocol: $4

Max Payne 3: $4 (Didn't get the DLC. It's all multiplayer DLC and the multiplayer is pretty much dead)

I may buy another game or two. Who knows. I've been checking Amazon, Steam, Green Man Gaming, and Gamers Gate a few times a day. Most of them come with steam keys.

Can't believe that many people still don't own L4D2 so much so that they crashed the servers last night, I would've been pissed I missed a deal because of the rush.

How does steam make money?

@Sevenizz Stop everything you are doing and buy Zombie U. Best second screen integration and really one of the best games to buy for Wii U.

the second screen is used when you have to open locked doors or use a scope. The main screen is still your character but you cant really pay attention to that since you are focused on the second screen.

It adds tot he fear that you might get attacked and are vulnerable.

Outside of that Rayman uses the second screen for touch functions. It's not that the second screen has to be used it's just that it can. Just like S4 motion controls and XB one kinect camera.

@McTabish That's a good point. You know if you'd like to share some of the deals you've found on say, your blog you could probably get it featured in the community news. Just saying.

@McTabish The US is one of their single largest regions that access the site. Many places cater content to the US because while not everyone using the site is from the US many are. I would imagine the US is the country with the most hits and if it isn't the most it is definitely very high up.

@AurikenSteam has ran me dry, in a month I've bought over 10 games, which is amazing because I usually but one game and don't get another one until I beat it.

@MAD_AI Weirdly enough I didn't, I heard good things about it but Zombie games aren't my thing, will try it anyway, can not let a good free game go to waste.

@ranma1_2 Take random indie game that came out a year ago that costs $10. The sales have slowed significantly and it hardly sells anymore.

Put that game on the front page and even though it costs much less the number of copies it sells more than makes up for it. Also the people buying it for cheap would most likely never have paid full price for the game but for $250-$5 they will buy it. This is money that wasn't there before.

You can look up data like this for many popular indie titles that made more money in the day it was on sale than it did in the month it launched.

@ranma1_2

Selling in larger volumes when you cut down the prices, benefits both devs and Steam.

@jflkdjs @Darth_Kane Sorry i'm too busy playing Just Cause 2 multiplayer with 10K people in the same world, also surviving in DayZ.

@Tripwolf Blu-ray has always baffled me. Not only is it not exactly worlds better quality for anyone sitting in a living room who don't have their face pressed up against the screen, they are also more expensive. I mean I have many many movies and shows on DVD, if I had them all on blu-ray the amount extra I would have spent would have been very significant.

If we are talking about games and a blu-ray can fit more data on it then fine, that is logical but for movies and things, it is a waste of money for anyone who doesn't have a 50+ inch TV.

@MapleLeafKush@ranma1_2 Some people like myself don't really care much about owning a physical copy of certain games on PC. I'm more interested in supporting developers with my money & owning legit access to games that I like playing.

@MapleLeafKush@VelvetKevorkian@ranma1_2When you buy games as cheap as they are on Steam you don't even need to bother trading in any games. & with the added benefit of the reduced clutter by owning a digital copy, it's not much of an inconvenience either.
Don't get me wrong though. Both are great ways to get games. This is just my own preference.

@ranma1_2 @MapleLeafKush still has a smaller overhead then manufacturing and distributing physical copies, get your game up kid,.
