TGS 2001 Fall: Legaia Deul Saga Hands-on

We have new details on Sony's PS2 RPG.

Sony Computer Entertainment displayed Legaia Duel Saga for the PlayStation 2 at the ongoing TGS 2001 Fall. The game only featured a dungeon with a narrow corridor being blocked by several monsters. Essentially, it was more of a demo to allow players to get a feel of the game's tactical arts system. The battle system allows players to learn and execute moves through a series of presses on the D-pad. The demo had several special attacks already in the list, but players were able to learn new ones as well. Players will need art points (AP) to execute these moves, and these points can be replenished by using normal attacks. Some of the special effects were eye-catching, but most took several seconds showing off the special move. This could become tedious if the player has seen the move many times already. Legaia Duel Saga is due on November 29 in Japan.
