Tecmo going retro in Japan

A compilation of Tecmo's arcade hits from the 1980s is coming to the PlayStation 2.

TOKYO - Tecmo has announced that it will be releasing a compilation of seven retro arcade games from the 1980s on the PlayStation 2. Titled Tecmo Hit Parade, the compilation will include hit titles such as the shooter Star Force and the classic puzzle game Solomon's Key.

The compilation will actually allow players to configure their PS2 controllers like arcade controls. It will also let them check out scans of the different arcade cabinets' instruction panels and old promotion posters in both the Japanese and English. The arcade titles included in the game are as follows:

Pleiads (1981)
Senjyo (1983)
Star Force (1984)
Bomb Jack (1984)
Tecmo Cup (1985)
Pinball Action (1985)
Solomon's Key (1986)

Tecmo Hit Parade is slated for release in Japan on November 25 at a price of 6,090 yen ($55). No American release date has been set.
