Sydney 2000 Goes for Gold
Eidos reveals that the PC and PlayStation versions of the Olympic sports game are both complete.
Eidos has announced that Sydney 2000 has gone gold, just in time for this year's Olympic competition. The Olympic sports title puts 32 national teams in the venues you'll see in the televised coverage of the games later this summer. The game lets you compete in 12 Olympic events: 100-meter sprint, 110-meter hurdles, hammer throw, javelin, triple jump, high jump, 100-meter freestyle swimming, Olympic sprint cycling, skeet shooting, super heavyweight weight lifting, 10-meter platform diving, and kayak K1 slalom.
The PlayStation version should ship the week of August 21, while the PC game will arrive in stores the following week. Take a look at screens from the PlayStation version by clicking on the image above.
