Following the news earlier this week that Strategy First had added three new games to its official Web site, the Canada-based publisher has today formally announced that it has signed the worldwide rights to Supremacy: Four Paths to Power. The futuristic turn-based strategy game, which is currently in development at Black Hammer, features four distinct races--each with its own storyline.

"Supremacy: Four Paths to Power is a deep strategy game that brings something new to the strategy game genre," says Don McFatridge, president of Strategy First. "We couldn't be happier about our partnership with Black Hammer Game that will bring this game into the hands of strategy game lovers everywhere."

Combat in Supremacy: Four Paths to Power will take place both in space and on the surface of planets. Players will assume the role of one of four commanding officers in the game and will be able to use more than 40 different unit types, including suicide bombers, flamethrowers, and mechs, as they attempt to conquer the galaxy. The game's AI will continually adapt to provide players with a suitable challenge and will even throw ruthless space pirates into the equation from time to time.

"Fans of the strategy genre will be pleased to find a world of unique challenges in Supremacy: Four Paths to Power," said Nikita Mikros, lead designer at Black Hammer. "We believe it will be a compelling and truly original game that will provide players with countless hours of fun."

Supremacy: Four Paths to Power is currently scheduled for release in North America in the second quarter of 2004. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
