Nintendo is giving gamers 2,222 reasons to play Super Mario Run. To celebrate the recent launch of Fire Emblem Heroes, Nintendo is handing out 2,222 free coins for the Mario auto-runner. All you have to do to claim them is log in. There are no strings attached, as you don't need to download Fire Emblem Heroes or pay the $10 to unlock all the Super Mario Run courses to get the gift.

You can use the coins for the Kingdom Builder mode, among other things. Here is the page you'll see to collect your 2,222 free coins.

Released in December for iOS devices, Super Mario Run has been downloaded more than 78 million times. According to Nintendo, around 5 percent of players have paid the $10 to unlock all the courses. That means around 4 million have done so, bringing in about $40 million in revenue.

Super Mario Run launches for Android devices in March, though a specific date has not been announced.
