Star Wars: The Last Jedi "Surprises" And More Teased For April Event

Lucasfilm announced today that Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy will appear at Star Wars Celebration in April to talk about the new film.

The panel takes place on Friday, April 14 at the event, which is being held in Orlando, Florida.

"While specifics are still under wraps, the talk promises to feature a few surprises and special guests, kickstarting what is sure to be an exciting and memorable weekend," the company said.

In other news about The Last Jedi, Disney CEO Bob Iger said recently that he's seen a cut of the movie and says it's "great." Additionally, the new R2-D2 actor has been named.

The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15, 2017. It stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Carrie Fisher filmed her Leia scenes for the movie before she passed away in December.
