If it hits $600 million (and that's just about guaranteed to happen), it will become just the fifth movie ever to reach that mark domestically. Others include The Avengers ($623.4 million), Jurassic World ($652.3 million), Titanic ($658.7 million), and Avatar ($760.5 million).

Globally, The Force Awakens has now passed $1.16 billion.

That puts it at the No. 10 spot on the all-time top-grossing chart. It has now passed a handful of juggernauts, including Transformers: Age of Extinction ($1.1 billion), Skyfall ($1.11 billion),The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.12 billion), Transformers: Dark of the Moon ($1.124 billion), and Minions ($1.157 billion). And this is after just two weeks for The Force Awakens.

The Force Awakens debuted worldwide on December 18, breaking all kinds of records right away. It's also winning over critics, with many reviewers speaking positively about the JJ Abrams-directed film.
