Star Trek: New Worlds Update

Interplay sent over the latest version of its 3D real-time strategy game based on the Star Trek universe. Players take control of the Federation, the Romulans, or the Klingons as they attempt to expand their boundaries by colonizing planets on the outer rim of their respective empires. In addition to completing numerous objectives within a broad mission, each race must strategize according to its own belief system. The Federation must adhere to rules like the prime directive, which prevents them from engaging in any unethical activity. Since the Klingons are a proud warrior race, their beliefs focus around honor, which prevents them from attacking unarmed units. The Romulans are free to do as they please, as long as the mission objectives are completed.

Star Trek: New Worlds is expected to ship around the beginning of September. We'll soon have a full preview of the game.
