As reported by Siliconera, Figureheads is a mech-themed, 5v5 free-to-play strategy shooter. Little is known about its actual gameplay, but Square Enix calls it a "robot x shooter x strategy game."

The game is launching later this year for PC, and Square Enix teases that some kind of further announcement about Figureheads will be made on June 10.

The game has been confirmed so far only for Japan; there is no word yet on a western release.

For now, you can watch a new Figureheads video below, which does feature some gameplay. Does Figureheads look like something you might want to play? Let us know in the comments below.

We're expecting even more Square Enix announcements, including a first look at Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gameplay, during the company's E3 briefing next week.
