Comments

Encore was hoping for a bit of retail magic today, when they shipped SpellForce: The Order of Dawn to North American stores. Already out in Europe, the PC game is rated "T" for Teen, and has a retail price of $49.99.

Developed by German studio Phenomic Game Development, SpellForce blends RPG-esque character development with RTS-style tactical action. Players assume control of a a magic-wielding "Rune Warrior" charged with assembling a human army to defeat a horde of demons and zombies. In order to wage war, players must assemble armies and build bases, as well as build up their own skillsets and spellbooks. To unearth more arcana on SpellForce, read GameSpot's preview.
