Namco has today announced the North American release of Spawn: Armageddon for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Developed by California-based Point of View, the third-person action game sees players assuming the role of Todd McFarlane's popular comic book character Spawn as he battles with the forces of heaven and hell across 23 increasingly challenging missions.

"Spawn: Armageddon is poised to surprise a lot of people," said Glen Cureton, producer at Namco. "This game's unique evolution of what continues to be an excellent comic book storyline into one of today's high-tech video games has been an amazing process. We have no doubt that the close working relationship between Namco and Todd McFarlane Productions has resulted in an excellent interactive representation of the Spawn: Armageddon franchise."
