Next week, the video game and electronic entertainment industry will converge upon the peaceful city of Atlanta, Ga. It will bring with it a look at the hottest new software for 1998. Since the show is not open to anyone under 18, Sony Computer Entertainment America has decided to throw its own mini-tradeshow for kids.

Dubbed "PlayStation City," kids will get a glimpse of the PlayStation games that will be on display at the show and a chance to win prizes by competing on a Jumbotron (one of the world's largest video screens). Prizes include hats, games, peripherals, T-shirts, magnets, and a grand prize of a complete video game setup - including a PlayStation and SCEA's game library.

If you live in Atlanta and are not able to attend E3, you might want to check it out, so here are the details:

Wednesday, May 273-7pmOn the corner of Thurmond and Marrietta Streets, downtown Atlanta

And, if you're elsewhere around the country and are not able to attend E3, check out e3news.com during the show (May 27-30) for full reports updated during the day.
