Sony Announces E3 Schedule, Will Have 70 Games at its Booth

Main event kicks off Monday evening at 6 p.m. PDT.

In the final lead up to E3, Sony today announced its full schedule for the event and revealed that it will have at least 70 games on display at its booth on the show floor.

Sony's main press conference begins Monday, June 9 at 6 p.m. PDT / 9 p.m. EDT. GameSpot will host a live-stream of the event, and we will of course have all the news from the show and instant-analysis of the hottest stories and trends.

Following the main event, Sony will host a three-day live broadcast beginning at 12 p.m. PDT / 3 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 10. Sony promises a "smorgasbord" of live game demos, interviews with developers, and new game trailers.

From the US Playstation Blog (which this article is pretty much a copy/paste)

'One more thing: I’m pleased to reveal a selection of fine PlayStation software that will be showing in our E3 booth. Obviously, we can’t dish on every game that we’ll be showing at E3, but consider this a conversation starter. See you Monday!'

So obviously more unannounced games will actually be there, like Project Beast, GoW 4, Uncharted, etc, but they didn't want to spoiler-fy themselves...

70 games, 65 of which are indies. Kidding, kidding, don't get your panties in a bunch, even if it is kind of true.

All the "big" games in this list are games I'm well aware of already.  There seems to be an awful lot of junk in that list as well though.

God Of War 4 will be revealed on the show at E3.

Also other Sony games that we haven't seen on the list.

I really don't care what they announce, as long as there's a Suikoden game somewhere in the lineup.  I've been waiting almost 10 years, throw me a bone, here!!

I've been patiently waiting for "Deep Down" and, hopefully, a sequel to "Dragon's Dogma". Hopefully, there will be some awesome surprises for us!

just to be clear people, these are the games people will be able to play at sony's booth. it isn't all the games they are going to be showing people at e3. just for the people that don't bother reading the full article.

Eh. Nothing on that list is really doing it for me.

I'm guessing this only states revealed games/ demos? New n' Tasty & Shadow Warrior aside I just wanted updated gameplay on the next-gen version of Evil Within. But as I started saying, this is likely only mentioning demos we've seen.

It's cool and all, but come on with the indie games......They are not that great so far.....

@snk0610 don't think they will do that... might save it to "next year" as well...( the reveal I mean)

They will probably show it on E3.

Not all the games are on the list.

@Draecon Suikoden V was a great game, never understood why after Konami tried portable entries before killing off the franchise.

@KSSuperhero Their PC branch is already sold and their online division is doing fine. In fact, MS lost more on their failing divisions than Sony's lost, the only thing that keeps MS afloat is their business software, server tools and client divisions (thought they took a massive hit with Windows 8). Every other division took a hit. Bing and Surface alone cost them over 10 billion in loses and MS phones are doing so poorly that MS is now giving the OS away for FREE in hope that will break them into the market.

BTW, tool...another month of MS getting trounced, lower sales in May than in April while the PS4 outsold them AND the Wii U combined by twice the amount of sales.

@pikachudude860 2020 they have crap for first party games coming what a joke. Yeah they may have a nice console but if you dont have first party games that use the power then it dont really matter.

@bluebird08 Media Molecule is no longer working on the series; so it's hard getting excited. If you've seen what Sumo digital and other developers have done with LBP2 since they took over a glitchy mess is the best way to describe that game online.

Sumo Digital will have a difficult time coming close to what Media Molecule did with Little Big Planet 2 and the Move pack.

Because al they have done so far is add packs that damage the original game.

@superveka whats wrong with games that have no publishers? have you played transistor?

Draecon

@RSM-HQ @Draecon Yeah, Tierkies was okay, but it just wasn't the same: There was no Leknaat, Jeane, or Viki and didn't even take place in the same dimension as the others.  I'm still waiting to go to Kanakan.  And yes, Suikoden V was great: my second favorite behind II.

@memenotu @KSSuperhero

Wow, could you be a bigger fanboy? Caring about how many consoles each company sales ain't gonna add inches to your schlong, and if you really, honestly think Xbox One isn't going to see a substantial increase in sales once the 399 SKU is out in the wild you're delusional.

@wintersina @superveka Its just stupid people that think indies suck, but then they turn around and play minecraft(which is indie). Again, people are stupid

memenotu

@A8ADD0N @memenotu @KSSuperhero lol, who is the fanboy for thinking a price drop is going to make up the difference here when there was already a $50 price drop AND a free Titanfall bundle that DID NOT INCREASE SALES AT ALL...

memenotu
memenotu

@byzantine_chant 70 games and a system outselling the One 2 to 1...imagine if Sony actually TRIED to beat MS...

Tiger_Ali
Tiger_Ali

@memenotu @byzantine_chant don't mind them, but box and PC gamers are rather salty before an e3. As they should be, after all there's nothing for them but insipid mediocrity.
