Sony has announced that it will be introducing PlayStation-specific items into its Sony Rewards scheme in the US.

After enlisting in the scheme, customers earn 1 point for every $1 spent in the PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network Store, or Sony Store. 1000 points can be exchanged for $10 of PlayStation Store credit.

Sony is also offering an additional 100 points for signing up to the scheme before November 12, 250 points for buying a 12-month subscription to PlayStation Plus in November, up to 270 points for purchasing a PlayStation 3 bundle, and up to 400 points for uploading movie ticket stubs onto the Sony Rewards website.

The Sony Rewards scheme is currently only available in the US.
