Shadowrun Returns Berlin DLC delayed
Shadowrun Returns' Berlin DLC will ship three months later than expected so that it can be turned into a fully-fledged expansion.
Shadowrun Returns' Berlin DLC add-on has been delayed until 2014 so that it can be turned into a fully-fledged expansion, developer Harebrained Schemes has announced on Kickstarter.
The Berlin content was originally intended to ship in October. "However, after listening to your forum discussions and feedback, it became clear that you would like to see something bigger (and so would we)," said Harebrained Schemes.
"So, we've decided to spend more time on Berlin to create an experience closer to the size of Dead Man’s Switch," the game's current campaign, set in Seattle.
Harebrained Schemes says it is in the early stages of development for the Berlin expansion, but that the team is looking to create a more flexible story arc than in Dead Man's Switch, alongside NPC characters with more depth, more magical creatures, and improved gameplay for the Physical Adept class.
"We want our next story to feel more like the player is part of a shadowrunning crew and contain more corporate intrigue," added the developer.
The Berlin expansion will also contain new assets for the community to use in their own content.
