Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers

Screenshots tell of recent progress in the game's development.

Kemco recently licensed the Shadowgate property (familiar to many gamers from its NES and PC incarnations) from Infinite Ventures. Then it reunited the US Shadowgate team and introduced it to a Japanese design firm so that the two together could produce Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers.

Due out this winter, Shadowgate 64 picks up after Lord Jair banished the Warlock Lord. Now, Halfling Del finds himself exploring the castle Shadowgate, intent on uncovering evil plots and keep them from ever taking place. The game will have a panoramic 3D environment, creepy creatures, and some hopefully complex puzzles to solve.

Check out these screenshots, and we'll keep you posted on the progress of the game as the summer continues.
