Sega Selects Access for Passport
Sega Enterprises teams up with Access Co. Ltd. for the Dreamcast's Internet connection software.
Access Co. Ltd. announced today in Japan that it is the developer of Sega's Dream Passport software, which comes packed with each Japanese Dreamcast console (which launches Friday). It's an integration of Access' NetFront and SSL modules, which allows users to surf the Web, send and receive e-mail, chat, and access secure web sites all with a touch of the Dreamcast controller.
These software tools will also be offered to developers to integrate Internet features into their games or applications.
