Also featured in the video is the first footage from Mighty No. 9's two-player online co-op challenge and online race battle modes. In co-op, the characters Beck and Call work together to finish levels, while the challenge mode sees players competing for the highest score.

Alongside the release of this new trailer, Deep Silver also confirmed that, while Mighty No. 9 is not among the 113 playable games at PlayStation Experience this weekend, Inafune will be at the show. "So be sure to come by and say hello!" Deep Silver said.

Mighty No. 9 launches on February 9, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U on physical discs and digitally. The game will be available digitally only for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Digital versions of the game for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS are also in the works, but are without release dates.

In the game--which was funded on Kickstarter--you play as a robot named Beck who is the only one not infected by a mysterious virus that makes everyone else go crazy. For lots more on Mighty No. 9, which is getting its own live-action movie, be sure to read GameSpot's in-depth interview with Inafune.

In addition to Mighty No. 9, Inafune is working on a new Xbox One exclusive called ReCore.
