Comments

Tetris Effect: Connected has temporarily unlocked its two secret levels for all players in celebration of the Tetris film's release.

These two levels, referred to as 1984 and 1989, are callbacks to older versions of the beloved game and are normally tricky to unlock. They're available as part of the Marathon, Mystery, and Quick Play Effect modes.

Now Playing: Tetris Effect - Video Review

The 1989 stage is based on the Game Boy version of Tetris. To unlock it normally, the community goal for the Weekend Ritual needs to have been met, which makes the stage available for 24 hours. Otherwise, players can unlock the 1989 stage permanently by reaching level 50.

As for the 1984 stage, players unlock this one by imputing the following cheat code:

  • Xbox: Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A
  • PlayStation: Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, Circle, X
  • Nintendo Switch: Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B

Developer Enhance didn't confirm how long these two levels will be unlocked for the community, so it's recommended that players dive into Tetris Effect: Connected soon to try them out.

The Tetris film is streaming on Apple TV+ right now, while Tetris Effect: Connected is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
