Sanity Goes Gold

Monolith's third-person action-adventure game is now complete.

Publisher Fox Interactive announced today that Sanity: Aiken's Artifact has gone gold. Developed by Monolith Productions, the game tells the story of Cain, a powerful psionic agent on a mission to defeat a dangerous consortium of rogue psionicists. Over the course of the game you will collect "talent cards" that represent Cain's special psychic powers. Additional cards can be added to the game in a manner similar to many collectible card games. The voice talent of rapper Ice T, in the role of lead character, is featured throughout the 20-level adventure.

Though the game is complete, Fox revealed that it won't appear on store shelves before the end of September, which presumably is to allow for extra production and distribution time.

In the meantime, players can check out the recently released demo version of Sanity. GameSpot will have a full review of the game in time for its retail release.
