TOKYO--Sammy has opened the official Japanese Web site for its upcoming PlayStation 2 port of Guilty Gear Isuka, revealing details about the three new characters. The game will be released to stores in Japan on July 29 with a retail price of 7,140 yen ($65). A North American version is planned for the 2004 holiday season.

The PS2 edition of Guilty Gear Isuka will add three additional characters to the arcade roster: ABA, Robo-KY, and Robo-KY II. ABA is a new female humanoid character that brandishes a large key and can switch between two fighting modes. Robo-KY appeared previously in Guilty Gear XX #Reload, but didn't make the cut for the arcade edition of Guilty Gear Isuka; he can power up his attacks via the electronic mat he lays on during combat. Robo-KY II is a customizable version of Robo-KY; players can change his special moves and attributes in the game's "RKII Factory."`

Sammy originally released Guilty Gear Isuka for the arcades last year on its Atomiswave platform. The PS2 version is in development at Japan-based Arc System Works. For more information, check out GameSpot's hands-on impressions from this year's E3.
