R.U.S.E. getting Chimera Pack 'in a few days'

Ubisoft broadcasts imminent launch of strategy titles next add-on, but keeps details, exact date, platforms, price under wraps.

Ubisoft's World War II real-time strategy title R.U.S.E. will get a second downloadable add-on very soon, the French publisher has announced.

A recent tweet from Ubisoft's official Twitter account declares R.U.S.E. will get the Chimera Pack "in a few days." The publisher did not specify a more definite release date or drop any details concerning what the pack will contain.

R.U.S.E. welcomes new DLC very soon.

As of press time, Ubisoft has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the brief message.

R.U.S.E.--which ditched Ubisoft's embattled DRM--was released in September following volleys of delays. The Chimera Pack will follow the free Manhattan Project add-on, which debuted in December on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, and for PC via Steam.

This is a great RTS game on consoles and its pleasing to see that the studio is still supporting it with DLC...If you dont own this game you should get it....I hope to see in the future RUSE 2 maybe modern conflict

I'll stick with World In Conflict. I see it as the "Shooter's" RTS.

Excellent game. It's only problem is how few people know that.

@GeneralShowzer Yes, I've played RTS. Yes, I played SC and its expansion. I built a dozen or so maps, even. And I have played SC2 plenty. Jee-hous! Before slamming me and asking such questions, you need simply click on my name and you would have seen SC2 is among my "now playing" list. Back to the point of my point... I feel I make a valid point. Look, SC2 blew up the number for an RTS in sales, which you must admit is a niche market (the anti-COD, if you will). In addition, the game was critically praised, and deservedly so. So you are telling me that you feel RTS titles released before and after SC2's release window would never be compared to what many consider to be the cream of the crop? Further, are you contending a lesser-known RTS will outsell SC2? Or would not be adversely affected by the still well-selling SC2? .......... That... is my point.

It's a very original RTS game that actually makes me feel like a general commanding an army. I love it.

I haven't played it in ages, even though it's such a great game. I'll have to pick up the free DLC for sure and check the game out again.

Best recent RTS for me is Men Of War: Assualt Squad. If we all join its steam group we will get a open beta. Ruse is also a very good game, but i could have been a little more complex imo.

@PixelAddict .... There were tons of RTS released previous year. Some of them really good too. Do you like play RTS? Do you play Starcraft II? Why feel the need to make such a comment?

I've played it a lot. It's absolutely fantastic. It's an actual Real Time STRATEGY game, rather than a real time tactical click fest. There's nothing wrong with those times of games (I love SC1 & 2) but RUSE is a lot more cerebral than most. The pacing is a lot slower than common RTS titles and you win games by clever and novel strategies more than you do through superior hotkey management etc. It's a completely new type of strategy game and I love it. I hope UBI keeps supporting it because it's just a wicked game.

Has anyone played this game? Strikes me that an RTS title coming out within a year on either side of the Starcraft 2 release is going to suffer from comparisons to that great game.
