DreamCatcher has announced the release of Rock Manager, its new game that lets players manage their own rock-and-roll band. Players must first put a band together by selecting from a variety of musicians with different tastes and styles, including rock, pop, punk, and heavy metal. As the band manager, players must then lead their band through the recording of its first demo in a studio, securing a record deal, scheduling performances, promoting the albums, and going on tour. Throughout their climb to fame, players must keep the individual musicians happy or risk having the band fall apart.

"With Rock Manager, music fans can truly experience what it's like to live and survive in the world of rock and roll," said Richard Wah Kan, CEO of DreamCatcher Interactive. "Many people have the secret dream of living in the rock-and-roll world and we're happy to make their dream come alive."

Rock Manager features more than 25 different musicians. Players can produce songs in fully functional music studios, design album covers, and plan extensive marketing campaigns. Through the course of the game, their band will perform in places that range from seedy back-alley clubs to high-profile venues.

Rock Manager will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $19.99.
