Gamers with a pharaoh complex can now satisfy their grandiose self-images, thanks to a demo of Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War. Midway Games released the 420MB PC file today to let people try out the real-time strategy game before it goes on sale this June. The game is currently being developed by Stainless Steel Software, the company founded by former members of RTS specialist Ensemble Studios.

The demo lets users assume command of the Egyptian army as they take on the Roman Empire. Using the hero feature, players will guide Cleopatra as she leads her troops into battle. The demo also features one skirmish map to try out.

Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War is rated T for Teen and will retail for $49.99. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
