Reasons for Nintendo Delays

Nintendo's releases have been plagued by delays lately. We'll give you the official reason, but we want to hear what you think.

Developing a video game isn't a predictable process. Most developers delay projects all the time, it's just not readily known since they haven't been "officially" announced, or the games aren't constantly on gamers' wish lists. However, when it comes to the N64, games have been delayed more often than they come out on time. Zelda, which is probably the most anticipated game for the system since the release of Super Mario 64, has been delayed countless times.

The official reason is that Nintendo isn't going to release a game until it's absolutely finished. That explains why Nintendo's first-party titles are of a higher quality a majority of the time than third party games. More time in development will only mean a better game in the end. But, it gets very grating when a game is delayed a year or more.

We want to know what you think about Nintendo's games being delayed. Zelda, F-Zero, the DD, Banjo-Kazooie, and Kirby's Air Ride (whatever happened to THAT one, eh?) - all delayed.

Take a moment to of Nintendo's delays.

We'll post some of the answers next weekend.
