Rayman Origins hits 3DS March 20

Ubisoft bringing colorful side-scrolling platformer to Nintendo's new portable in two months; Vita version out February 14.

Rayman Origins made its debut for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on November 15, and now, the phantom-limbed protagonist has a date set for the 3DS.

Rayman is quite nimble for not having any real limbs.

Today, Ubisoft announced that Rayman Origins will arrive for the 3DS on March 20. The French publisher also confirmed today that the PlayStation Vita iteration of the game is on track for its already announced February 14 debut.

Rayman Origins is a quirky 2D side-scroller developed by Ubisoft and Rayman creator Michel Ancel. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's review of the Xbox 360 version.

Whoever hates this game probably can't afford it.

If this version is rated higher than the console version then I'll get it.

I don't know why people can't just buy a console of some sort. The PC obviously isn't getting the love it deserves, so why limit yourself? Unless graphics really mean that much to you.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but how many 3DS's and copies would I need to play the game with 3 friends, compared with 3 more controllers on the xbox?

never played rayman, my favorite platformers have been mostly nintendo IP's like mario, donkey kong, and kirby. played some sonic too. Does this hold up well to those?

Mediocre 2D Platformer? No, this is one of the better games that Ubisoft has actually put some effort into (unlike Rabbids 3D and Rayman 3D and some of the shovleware titles Ubisoft release). I own it on the PS3 and it's a fantastic platformer. I wouldn't mind buying this for my 3DS.

Really. Maybe I'll finally pick it up. Naw, don't need another mediocre 2D platformer game....

Hope they can release the demo on the eshop before March 20, I think the 3D will add a nice popup effect to the characters, looking forward to it.

This game looks amazing for PS3, I can't imagine how it would look like on PC.

When are companies going to realize Steam is OP. Actually I think they know, they just hating. Don't hate the player, and don't hate their game.

I guess it was just too hard for the devs to have this released on steam to increase their own revenue, right? Good job.

What about the PC, Ubisoft? Is this game selling so well, that you can ignore the PC market?

Oh frickin awesome. I knew this was supposed to be coming out on 3DS so I was trying to hold out for it. Glad I finally know when it's coming! I'll be getting it as soon as possible! :D

Hopefully a PC is on the way, even though I already bought this on PS3.

How is it any different to the other versions? Is it just 3D? Not really worth a rebuy, then.

I'm hoping it sell better on the portable systems. Such a great game that so many missed out on.
