Shrapnel Games today announced that Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War has gone gold and is now in production ahead of its scheduled release on August 16. Developed by Patrick Proctor and ProSim, Raging Tiger is a real-time strategy game that not only is built on the foundations of the 2002 game Armored Task Force, but is actually backward compatible with that game's scenarios.

"Hardcore wargamers are going to really enjoy Raging Tiger," said Tim Brooks, president of Shrapnel Games. "Once again Pat and crew have delivered a real-time strategy game that shows that strategy can really exist in a genre noted mostly for its mouse-clicking skills. And with the new features ProSim has added to the ATF engine, I think this is probably the easiest game from ProSim for newcomers to get involved with."

In addition to featuring its own campaign and the option to replay scenarios from Armored Task Force, Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War features multiplayer support and a scenario editor. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
