It's all about the horror games today, apparently.

We're just coming out of the Sony E3 2016 press conference, but the surprises haven't ended yet: the company has announced another game, called Here They Lie. It was first confirmed today on the YouTube Gaming E3 2016 livestream, and then Sony published its first teaser trailer after its press conference.

It's a PS4 exclusive and it's compatible with PlayStation VR. It's the first game from The Tangentlemen, a studio formed from ex-Call of Duty and Tomb Raider developers. The trailer is a short teaser so it doesn't share much about gameplay, but it does give a good idea of the tone. It appears to be a horror game, as the trailer shows a variety of weird phenomena. In the trailer, you can see a person in a pig helmet, stomping a similarly garbed person; cockroaches streaming out of a grate; and bats flying through a city. The art style looks vaguely cel-shaded and stylized.

Nothing else is known about the game at this time. However, it will be released this fall, so we won't have to wait long to learn more.

Sony's press conference today was full of surprises. Some of the most notable announcements were Resident Evil VII: Biohazard for PS VR, a new game called Death Stranding by Hideo Kojima, and a Norse-themed God of War. Check out all of the news here.
