PS3 game Beyond: Two Souls sold 1 million copies in 2013
Game still has a lot of work to do to catch up to Heavy Rain, which has sold 3 million copies.
PlayStation 3-exclusive Beyond: Two Souls sold 1 million copies in 2013, Quantic Dream announced today through a special website marking the sales milestone. The millionth copy of the game was sold shortly before Christmas. The game features the voices and likenesses of actors like Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, among others.
Beyond: Two Souls launched on October 8, meaning it managed to sell 1 million copies in just three months. It still has much work to do if it is to catch the sales mark of its predecessor, however, as Heavy Rain has sold more than 3 million copies to date.
Signs are positive, at least in France. Beyond: Two Souls sold 70,088 copies in 2013 in France, outpacing the 12-week sales mark of Heavy Rain in the country, Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere said on Twitter, citing data from Gfk Chart-Track.
