PS3 and Vita 2-for-1 Sale Offers Metal Gear Solid, GTA Bundles for Half Price

Sony's latest sale offers a handful of two-game bundles for half price.

Max Payne 3

Following up on its $1 flash sale from this past weekend, Sony has kicked off another nice sale today. This one involves bundles of two games--most for PlayStation 3, but a few for PlayStation Vita and PSP, too--that drop (almost all) of their prices by 50 percent.

All but one of the bundles that are included were created specifically for this sale. The highlights include Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD for $20 on PS3; Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for $20 on Vita and PSP; and--my personal favorite of the bunch--Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition and Red Dead Redemption for $30 on PS3. The one existing bundle included in the sale--Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger--costs $15, which makes it less than 50 percent off, but is a bargain nonetheless given the games' quality.

There are 11 bundles in all, each of which is available at a discounted price until next Monday, July 21. The full list of bundles follows below:

Will you be picking up any of these bundles in the next week? Let us know which ones in the comments.

Max Payne 3 sucked baboon balls, either take the series back too New York ,or quit making games.

Peace Walker for $20 is not a bad deal and it comes with a demo too!

I bought max payne 3 for the 360, 8 euro's.

Never has a game left me with so much nausea than max bloody payne 3. Seriously did they really need a blur and double image effect every 5 bloody seconds? The first game i cannot complete because of visuals... ever.

1 euro is too much for that pile of shite.

Not very good deals.  Max Payne 3 was $5 on Steam a while back.

Really?!?! I trade my ps3 for a ps4 after E3... All I see now is Sony doing sale for ps3... No games, no indie, no sales for PS4

Messaging from both MS and Sony is really weird with all these game sales for their previous gen hardware.  You would think they'd be trying to entice people to jump into the new gen, instead of sticking with the old.

Why is it the bundles that I want already has a game I already own, making the sale pointless? Screw you Sony!

@RockingSt4r Max Payne 3 PC version is a lot more fun and optimized than console versions. The only thing i've been a little upset by it was that i had to go on an annoying port forwarding business in my router to make it work fine in the multiplayer. Other than that, i'm enjoying a lot more than i used to in the console versions.

@RockingSt4r Max Payne 3 was one of the best optimized games in recent years. It looked far better and ran far better than many other games.

This was a game to really get on PC that wasn't just a bad port.

@nazgoroth I started Max Payne 3 today and just finished it. Kinda short and I totally get what you mean with the flickering. Was doing my head it. Was so happy when it finally stops towards the end. It was supposed to be highlighting his headache and hangover. Which is why it was constant.

@DrKill09 It was $5 on PSN too in the Rockstar sale. $20 for Gta 4, episodes, Red dead and Max Payne.

@verk81  Gunslinger is absolutely an excellent game, however the bundle's price isn't that amazing.  However, Gunslinger is worth its full retail price anyway.

@smokeyblaze You should be thankfull Sony isn't pulling the plug on the PS4 like it did with the Vita, lawls.

@grognard66 still have nearly 200 million consoles of last gen to sell games for as opposed to 15 million now.

Why would a company sell brand new material that isn't even a year old for half off? There will be plenty of PS4 and X1 sales when the games and systems are a bit older for it to be worth it. :/

@nitro73 Screw Sony? Steam invented the idea of selling the same games and bundles on every Steam sale. Also this sale is not for you then my derpy friend. It is not called the 'nitro73 half price sale'

@kane6911  If by "pointless" you mean an awesome portable gaming system with a number of great games that are largely overlooked by people who have never owned a Vita...then I agree.

@Dannystaples14 @nazgoroth It was also a direct ripoff of Tony Scott's visual style. I actually loved that game, but they definitely overused that effect.

Wow, a little touchy I see. While I understand the sales don't (and shouldn't) revolve just around me, they have been pretty good about setting up bundles that entice me. Don't take things too seriously next time.
