GameSpot News Wednesday received details on Konami's PS2 game Z.O.E. (pronounced "zo-wee"). The mech-action adventure game is styled similar to The Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo 64. Players will be able to walk around the field map, talk with people in the village, and control mechs during battle. The game is being developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and features talent such as Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid) as producer, Noriaki Okamura (Tokimeki Memorial series) as director, Yoji Shinkawa (character design in Metal Gear Solid) on mech design, and Nobuyoshi Nishimura (Gundam X) on character design.

Z.O.E. for the PlayStation2 will be at the Konami booth during the Tokyo Game Show. Stay tuned for our live coverage of the show starting tomorrow.
