Professor Layton movie gets localized
Viz Media bringing Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva Blu-ray, DVD to North America on November 8.
Professor Layton is ready to hit the big screen. Well, a bigger screen than the one to which the handheld puzzle hound is accustomed, at any rate. Level 5 and Viz Media have confirmed Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva for a November 8 North American release on Blu-ray and DVD.
When Professor Layton receives a letter from a former student who has seen a ghost, the sleuth and his young assistant Luke set off on an adventure to get to the bottom of the supposedly supernatural situation. Along the way, the pair discovers the secret behind a recent rash of mysterious disappearances and tests the secret of eternal life.
The Eternal Diva is not the only Viz Media gaming import on the horizon. On August 16, the publisher will release Ico: Castle in the Mist, a novel adaptation of Team Ico's PlayStation 2 classic action game penned by Miyuki Miyabe.
For those who would prefer tackling the professor's brainteasers themselves, Nintendo is planning to publish the fourth DS installment in the series, Professor Layton and the Last Specter, in North America this fall. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
