Though the summertime is notoriously slow for big new game releases, there are always exceptions like Prey, the next first-person shooter from developer Human Head Studios.

Featuring some wild-looking alien weapons and bewildering perspective shifts, Prey has topped many gamers' wish lists, thanks partly to the recent release of a popular demo both for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Now, those wondering how the game finally turned out will be able to tune into GameSpot's live video review on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Those who prefer their reviews in written form can expect GameSpot's full text review by that time. The live video review will be accessible right from this article, and also from the PC and Xbox 360 review pages for Prey.

At 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, following the premiere of GameSpot's video review, viewers will see a live question-and-answer session with the game's reviewer, senior editor Jeff Gerstmann. While the live feed will be available to all viewers, GameSpot paid subscribers will be able to watch the feed while participating in a live chat and sending in their questions about either version of the game. The live portion of the video review will not be available for on-demand viewing, so prospective Prey fans should mark their calendars for this one-time-only event.

Stay tuned to GameSpot all next week for continued coverage of Prey, including our game guide, hardware performance guide, and head-to-head comparison. Prey is rated M for mature and ships to stores Monday, July 10.
