Poker Night 2 launching this month

Telltale reveals sequel coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC with characters from Borderlands, Venture Bros., Sam & Max, and Army of Darkness.

Telltale Games has announced Poker Night 2, a downloadable card game coming to Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC and Mac through Steam at the end of April. Other platforms and a firm release date are still to be announced.

Poker Night 2 is a sequel to 2010's original Poker Night at the Inventory.

Players will take the fifth seat at the poker table, joining characters from games, TV, and film. These include Claptrap (Borderlands), Brock Samson (The Venture Bros.), Sam (Sam & Max), and Ash Williams (Army of Darkness).

Dealing the hands will be GLaDOS from Valve's action-puzzle games Portal and Portal 2.

In Poker Night 2, players can win "Bounty Unlocks," which are rewards that can be used inside other games when certain goals are achieved. Players can unlock skins and heads for Borderlands 2, characters accessories for Team Fortress 2, as well as Xbox 360 avatar items and themes for PS3.

Could this mean a Telltale Venture Bros....

I would sell my shares in Conjectural Technologies for that... All of them.

I'll buy anything with the Swedish Murder Machine, Brock Ness Monster in it.

if this game had more characters, & was on multiplayer it would be extremely successful and i would buy it but if not then why bother ?

For those who haven't played the original, previous characters were Max (Sam & Max), Strong Bad (Homestar Runner), Heavy (Team Fortress 2) and Tycho (Penny Arcade). This will probably be just $5 like the last one.

should made so you can play with chips that you can buy. like xbox live gold coins or something.

I don't give a damn about this game but Brock Samson, Ash and Sam playing poker? I want that picture framed and on my wall!

This game needs Multiplayer and a way to bet steam trade items to succeed and be a long lasting and enjoyable game. Otherwise it's just a run-of-the-mill steam sale game.

I'll buy it if it's $5.

Poker Night was fun, but the AI was pretty awful and the dialogue got stale after 5 hours.

Aside from the article, can somebody please tell me why I'm seeing ads just above this comment box that are linking to the hottest female athletes and stuff you'd feel right before a heart attack?

What am I suddenly on IGN seeing useless content on a gaming site? This IS a gaming site right? If I want to see this other crap being advertised  I'd go and search from that else where. Gamespot please get rid of this crap.

I wonder who's going to voice Ash?

How is the AI in "Poker Night at the Inventory"?

Honestly, I'm tired of buying poker games only to see that the AI is a joke.  Note to computer: If I go "all in" on ten consecutive hands, I'm probably just bluffing - feel free to "call."

never heard of the first 1, but will be sure to be checking out this title...

It would be extra fun if we could play online but without real money.

So... They can get Patrick Warburton, but not Brice Campbell? Damn... I don't know if I can get behind this.

I can't wait for this.  I hope that there are more characters than just the ones mentioned.

Looks cool I always like these type of games... When they combine games/shows etc.

I'm content with Full House Poker, but maybe I might bother with this one, maybe.  I'll try a demo first and see if it will warrant going for.

Looks and sounds awesome but no online multiplayer in a poker game is a bit -_-

Still, venture bro and Evil Dead characters, nerd respect!

This is interesting but I have never even heard of the first one. Still a poker game that you can play to unlock game content, how freaking genius is that. A hell of a lot more rewarding than winning millions in digital currency.

One of the unlocks for PS3 when you play this game is to get Brock Samson's hair for Borderlands 2 Gunzerker...

So, despite my distaste at a non-Bruce-Campbell-voiced Ash, there's enough awesome still in this game (between characters, overall humor, and extras) to warrant a purchase from me lol.

If you can't afford this product or do not wish to purchase it, you could just play normal poker and avoid the ever-present yet elusive danger of eyestrain. Although that might turn out to be more expensive in the long run. On the other hand it could turn out to be a more than slightly profitable venture in the long run. If you had your heart set on playing as and with video game characters the I'm sure there would be no considerable shortage of distributors of costumes portraying such characters on the world wide web.

I'm guessing this is single player only like the first one? Shame because I'd probably pick it up if I could play with a friend or 2.

Very excited. Loved Poker Night original: Between Claptrap, GLaDOS and Sam I think there could be a lot of great stuff.

I hope they have a Steam sale for this and the original Poker Night game. Both of them look funny and I had a friend who recommended the original one.

@chuckles471 that would be pretty cool... although i'm not sure you'd get much for those shares.

There are like 3 different dialogue themes in options, but yeah, the core mostly remains the same

@Lionheart8472I completely agree - they are heinously unrelated to the article, and to GameSpot in general.

I installed my first adblocker/network filter because of these ads!  If these new ads are intended to be less intrusive (or "more relevant", thereby "more clickable") than the typical banner and sidebar ads, then they are failing miserably.

@collinmul I dislike the AI in most poker games because it's cheating. Making decisions based on what cards I have and not based on how I play. Many of them even cheat with what cards are dealt although that is harder to detect.

@spoonybard-hahs Bruce is probably too busy promoting the new Evil Dead movie. He's been at practically all conventions lately.
