I am thinking about this I already have a 3DS. But I am thinking of getting a 3DS XL and Donkey Kong Country 3D. Then I would get the free game. I have never played a Pokemon game.

So it might not be worth it for a game I might not enjoy. Even though the game is free.

I would go for this pokemon ds deal but I dont want to buy any of those games.

I got a 3DS yesterday and I'm enjoying it. Never been a fan of Pokemon but a free game is a free game.

This is more like a pseudo-deal. I do not own a 3DS yet, but plan to in the future. If I were going to buy a 3DS, I'd wait until they release some sort of bundle because when you buy the 3DS it usually comes with a free game in the bundle. Then I would buy Pokemon, so in essence I still get one game completely free, but I also get a limited 3DS and a newer game (I'm waiting on the Super Smash Bros Bundle in hope that it actually happens!). But nonetheless it is a good deal if you are interested and looking to buy right now, but like I said in reality these "deals" have been present practically with every bundle.

interesting but i don't really want any of the listed games

I wonder why Link Between Worlds is not on that list.

Just give the game if they register the system. That list is too short.

Looks like my Pokemon X will be free after all, thanks Nintendo :D

Very tempting to grab one of the 3DS models and Animal crossing.

I hate promotions like this that punish the people who already own the systems but who reward the johnny-come latelys.

@Nintendo -- you could have an alternate deal where those with registered systems who purchase and register two of those titles in March are also eligible for the free game.

i have looked through the nintendo forums and found out, that it's not possible to register products that have been bought outside the us and canada.

maybe it will help some people.

@chadwick1343  SAME HERE!! I already missed that free legend of zelda game... and now I registered too early for this :/ the only game I have is animal crossing new leaf they should really make new way to get free games

@quickshooterMk2  ...thats why its a promotion. To promote NEW people to purchase the system.

It makes no sense why'd you get a game you've had access to buying for months now, for free, when you own the system already.

@deth420  You must have an illness than, if you don't want the best console out right now, with the best game selection out right now, and a free excellent quality game.

@Vexov  Except the 3DS is making an absolute fortune for Nintendo.

chev7781
chev7781

@Vexov So the PS4 and Xbone isn't selling so great because the sale numbers of those system match the Wii U? Looks like you and three other trolls need to learn how to do research.

@Link592  Probably because a hell of a lot of people have it.

@Link592  those are the games that arent selling so well. I would assume link is.

@Toysoldier34 Go for it, the 3DS is an amazing handheld and Animal Crossing New Leaf is a great game.

@SecularSage  How does it punish them? Nothings being taken away from them or anything.

@manbaku @quickshooterMk2  hell i just bought the system to play fire emblem awakening

best damn handheld RPG i've played my humble life

and to kill time with super mario 3D land

the 3DS is an ancient system, with a pisspoor internet browser

there is really no use for the 3DS besides playing nintendo exclusives

and in all honesty i don't really like pokemon that much, i've played it a lot back at those red/blue versions as well as the emerald green but then i just never touched pokemon again

game is too repedative, and it's getting dull after a while

if a new fire emblem was on it's way to the 3DS i would buy it in a heartbit

19James89
19James89

@fillup0 @VexovWhich is not enough to counter-balance the losses Nintendo are occuring from the Wii U.

19James89
19James89

@deth420 Hardly! Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land are have shifted over 9 million copies each only being outsold by Pokemon X and Y which has sold over 10 million units combined in less than five months. Animal Crossing New Leaf has sold over 6 million units. Get your facts straight before talking waffle.

Toysoldier34
Toysoldier34

@19James89 @Toysoldier34  Do you know if you have to register a 3DS when you first use it? I am curious if I can buy one before March and just wait on registering them until the promotion starts.

@quickshooterMk2 Try Bravely Default.  There's a free Demo in the E-shop.

abHS4L88
abHS4L88

@19James89

Plus calling the 3DS a "system only for 1st party Nintendo games" clearly isn't even opening their eyes since the 3DS has plenty of strong 3rd party titles as well as a great array of fun and/or challenging indie games.

I also loved how we felt the need to point out its internet browser, I mean really? The ONLY reason why you would use a handheld's internet browser is if you don't have a smart phone but if you can afford gaming, then you can afford a smart phone.

19James89
19James89

@abHS4L88 Which is nearly as funny as criticising the 3DS for being an ancient system. Acient or contemporary, the 3DS is fast becoming my favourite consoles of all time. Bravely Default is an amazing game and anyone who hasn't got it, should purchase it and that's coming from someone who isn't the biggest fan of JRPG's.

deth420

@chev7781 @deth420  pfft.

Thats funny since your the one trolling my comment...and quite frankly not doing a very good job.

Toysoldier34
Toysoldier34

@19James89 @Toysoldier34  Thank you for the info. I plan to try a friends 2DS and see how it feels. Then decide between a 2DS and Animal Crossing, or get a 3DS XL Zelda edition that comes with the Zelda game. Then probably still get Animal Crossing too since Zelda isn't part of this promo.

19James89
19James89

@Toysoldier34 No you don't have to register your console to club Nintendo straight away or at all.
