Pokemon Lucario returning to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS
Lucario returns to Nintendo's all-star brawler, but what does this mean for Mewtwo?
The latest fighter for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS has been unveiled, and it's another Pokemon: Lucario.
The fighting Pokemon previously featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii and was one of the more interesting characters. His risky strategy involves getting down to low health, and then using his aura ability to dish out insane amounts of damage.
Posting on Miiverse, director Masahiro Sakurai suggested that aura will be even more integral to the character in the upcoming game. "We've increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with," he said.
But does Lucario's confirmed return mean that we're unlikely to get a playable Mewtwo (who hasn't been on the roster since Super Smash Bros. Melee) in the upcoming 3DS and Wii U title?
Nintendo previously confirmed that Kirby villain King Dedede would be coming to the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game earlier this month.
Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS is due for release at some point in 2014, though Nintendo has said that it's not going to be this spring.
