Play Dark Souls 3 in First Person With New Mod

Dark Souls 3 is looking a bit more like Skyrim than usual with this first-person mod.

If you've ever wanted to play Dark Souls III like it was Skyrim, then now's your chance. Modder Zulliethewitch, who takes their name from a Dark Souls character, created a mod that lets you play the game in first-person.

YouTuber Iron Pineapple created a video that showcases the mod's first-person view. It features floating hands that don't have arms, which makes it look a bit like a game in VR; however, it looks like it works pretty well. You can see for yourself in the video below.

Shooting a crossbow seems to work more like a first-person shooter, and Iron Pineapple was able to riposte and kill an invader--it doesn't look like the game's binoculars helped out very much, though.

As someone who doesn't like the feeling of something lurking behind him, I think this mod might be a bit too much for me to handle. However, if you're looking for an extra challenge, I'm sure the lack of awareness could provide it.

You can check out the mod here. It's important to note that while it doesn't modify files, it could cause a soft ban on your account or corrupt your data.

A patch that was intended to address hacking in Dark Souls III has been removed as it also caused the game to lock-up and freeze.

In other Dark Souls III news, the game was recently completed without leveling up, rolling, or blocking.
