Pit millions of crafty gamers against an overcaffeinated crew of game developers, and gamers will almost always come out on top. The latest patch for the popular PC and Xbox 360 game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, was released to the public to fix some bugs that prevented certain quests from being completed and to address performance issues, but it also fixed an exploit that some gamers were fond of. The exploit in question let certain items be duplicated out of thin air, thus decreasing the difficulty level of the game. However, according to About.com, even an up-to-date copy of Oblivion for the Xbox 360 can yield a bounty of duped items. As detailed by the Web site, using arrows and a timely punch can keep a fresh supply of cloned potions on hand. It is unclear whether this trick works for the PC version.
