Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver and Crossy Road developer Hipster Whale have launched Pac-Man 256, a mobile game titled after the famous glitch found on level 256 in the original Pac-Man arcade game. In Pac-Man 256, the player is chased through an endless maze by the glitch. In addition to the classic Power Pellets, the game has new power-ups which grant stealth abilities, tornados, and laser beams.

The game is available as a free download on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon stores. Bandai Namco has also provided the option of buying Pac-Man 256 outright, which removes all free-to-play elements.

Hipster Whale has previously worked on the popular mobile game Crossy Road, an "endless hopper" inspired by Frogger. Fans have even created a video to see what it would look like in first-person. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's interview with Hipster Whale's Andy Sum and Matthew Hall.
