North Carolina-based iRock Interactive has updated GameSpot on the development status of its upcoming PlayStation 2 game Ozzy's Black Skies. As the end of the game's development cycle nears, the team at iRock is optimizing code, finalizing game art, and performing gameplay evaluations in order to assure that the action in Ozzy's Black Skies plays at the right speed and intensity. Ozzy's Black Skies, which was inspired by the music of Ozzy Osbourne, lets players assume the role of a dragon rider and features fast-paced aerial shooting action.

Ozzy's Black Skies will be released first for the PlayStation 2, followed by a probable Xbox version.
