Operation Flashpoint: Resistance hits stores

Codemasters has announced the release of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, the official expansion pack for its popular Cold War-era tactical action game. The expansion adds a number of new missions to the game, as well as several improvements to the game mechanics and game engine.

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, which requires the original game, includes a new 20-mission campaign, a large new island environment, and new weapons and vehicles. It also comes with new individual and multiplayer missions, enhanced graphics, improved multiplayer performance, and new gameplay elements such as scavenging and stealing enemy weapons. The new campaign lets players assume the role of an ex-Special Forces soldier who retires to a peaceful island, only to find himself in the midst of a Soviet invasion. Players will lead resistance forces in a series of battles against the invaders.

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance was developed by Bohemia Interactive, the studio that created the original game, and it is now available in stores for an approximate retail price of $29.99.
