Official site opens for new GBA Shin Megami Tensei

TOKYO--Rocket Company has opened the official site for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children Messiah Riser, revealing new information on the game. While Atlus originally cancelled the GBA title’s development earlier this year, the publisher Rocket Company picked up the title and will publish it in Japan this fall.

Messiah Riser will once again feature Jin and Akira from the Devil Children series as its two main characters. This time, the heroes will go on an adventure to stop an evil empire that is trying to unleash a powerful devil that’s sealed in something known as the Messiah Riser. Unlike previous installments in the Devil Children series, Messiah Riser will feature real-time simulation battles, so you'll need to be quick and decisive when giving orders to your characters.

Similar to previous installments in the Devil Children series, you can attempt to form a contract with a monster after you defeat it and make it into a party member. The game also inherits the monster-mixing system that fans of the Megami Tensei series should be familiar with, where you can fuse two of your party-member monsters in a laboratory and make them into one new monster.

Shin Megami Tensei: Messiah Riser is slated for release on November 4 at the price of 4,800 yen ($44).
