A new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm premiered at The Game Awards--check it out here.
The new Oddworld game, Oddworld: Soulstorm, now has a more specific release date. A new trailer for the game debuted during The Game Awards, and it confirmed that the game is slated for release in Spring 2021.
The trailer mentions PS4, PS5, and PC as launch platforms for the game, though it's not clear if the game may also release on Nintendo Switch and Xbox. You can check out the trailer below.
Soulstorm will play out in the series' traditional 2D side-scrolling format but takes place in a new 3D environment. The franchise's chaotic combat is front and center for most of the trailer, but you can see several of the new storytelling elements at play too with brand-new characters.
Soulstorm was originally slated to release in 2017 before being delayed to 2019 and then postponed again to 2020. It's now scheduled for release in 2021. The PC version of the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
